Tom Katsman

I just graduated from my major in Communication and Multimedia Design at the Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences. I’m a designer that loves collaborating in teams, breaking our heads over challenging issues.

In my spare time I work as a freelancer, designing logo’s, websites, and branding identities for clients. I’ve loved design from the moment I took art classes in high school and have since been determined to do what I can to make the world a little more beautiful.

Piet Mondrian, Le Corbusier, Gerhard Richter, and Damien Hirst are some of the artists that heavily influenced my work. Their minimalism and use of color have impacted the way I think about design.

I rolled into UX and product design when I got to college and from that moment on I’ve been obsessed with understanding people and their problems, and providing digital solutions to accommodate their needs.

It’s extremely satisfying to dive nose-deep into new subjects I know nothing about, and learning as much as possible about it and it’s stakeholders.

I lose track of time when I’m coding or cooking and in my time off I love going into the mountains. Especially Colorado is my ultimate happy place. Nothing beats the fresh air in the Rocky Mountains!

By the way — right now I’m looking for a new challenge, so if you have a problem that you want to to sit down with me to think about, don’t hesitate to reach out!
